Disabling startup apps
convert admin microsoft acct to local acct
STEP 1 - settings > accounts > your-info > convert to local account. This removes the pin. Name: admin. Leave password empty
STEP 2 windows menu > run > netplwiz > uncheck "require login at startup".
If the checkbox is missing, open up powershell and paste in the following ( derived from here: https://thegeekpage.com/users-must-enter-a-user-name-and-password-checkbox-missing-from-netplwiz-in-windows-10-fix/ )

Create "sinksideuser" acct
Settings accounts other accounts add account “I don’t have their login information” → add a user without a micosoft account

Turn on logon for sinksideuser

set password for sinksideuser

run netplwiz to set password
create folder: c:\sinkside_ads and c:\sinkside_scripts
Add sharing -- advanced sharing options
Remove “everyone”
Add sinksidefileshare, w/ full contol
Broadsign
Install broadsign player
Settings --> privacy and security → windows security --> smart app control → turn off
Add scheduled task to start up
or
create c/users/<username>/appdata/microsoft/windows start menu/programs/startup/ for the sinksideuser account.
VLC
