Makes one large single-layer pastry.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 5-7 tsp of ice water
Directions
- Combine salt and flour.
- cut the crisco into the flour mixture with a pastry blender until it is fully mixed.
- Add ice water 1 tsp at a time until the dough can form a ball without crumbling.
- Roll out the dough until thin. Use plenty of flour to coat the top and bottom.
